Today opens the exhibition of Damien Hisrt at Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana. We have been fortunate to attend the presentation and then we have already published our review of some magazines (we are plural, we have several ideas). We will write where to find them, but in the meantime, without wanting to superimpose your impressions, we write 2 or 3 things, from what we believe  is useful to see the exhibition to where  drink one spriz around without being bled

Spriz e stuzzichini a poco prezzo. Troverete i bar dei cinesi vicini all'Università. Ma state attenti all' Aperol che ci buttano dentro.

Start from Punta della Dogana. The exhibition is a  oddity  because it offers a story. A fairy tale. In our opinion, the best way to be surprised, to reach the bottom of what there is proposed is start from there. Because so many things are played out in the relationship between the size, materials, videos and pictures. If you do the opposite path, is likely that some installations can  be less surprising .

The exhibition is an enormity. The story, now is known, is the  exposure of a finding of a sunken ancient ship. There are 200 works. Certainly if we look at them cynically, many Teche, MANY "finds"  are not in the category Work of Art. They have no sense, they will not be sold. But They're in the story, in a discovery there are gold, but also Argenti shells (in this case fake),  etc. Our advice, considering that at the presentation someone considered it negatively, is to  is to look at them with attention, to understand that in this big performance are the outline things that hold the exhibition  , make it a believable story bringing it back to the experience,  experienced by all of us in any museum. Then, if you look good, they have some peculiarity, that otherwise you would not see.

Don't do the cynics. Here there is not: "I would have even done it myself" or "nice  the preparation." We are not in a minimalist exhibition, where you will save on gesture, on the design, with the materials. The poor art is outside, there is opulence here. Believe to the story they tell you. Then, if you want, you can make rational,  said the sponges are fake, that the sword he has not broken under water and so on. The exhibition is played on this . If everything seems fake the show is failed,  if there seems not plausible to believe it,  they are  only wasted money. And we will return to the walls with  3 or 4 pictures on a white wall, which often can not

If you have money skip this point. But if you heed, you are not rich and want Berva One Spriz in Venice start from Punta della Dogana. Side Academy Bridge There is nothing for us. Other Side, Zattere and Accademia, Walk down that road , continue just 500 meters after the indication for San Marco and you will find a kiosk on the seafront. Stop there. If you need it  has a bathroom in a house nearby. If you are already at the Palazzo Grassi, leaving it you find a  backstreet that brings you to Campo Santo Stefano (Spriz minimum 5 euro). Look to Your Left. At the side of the square There is a parallel road to that you Have Done. There, there are two local restaurants with excellent Spriz and fried food (including vegetarian). From Palazzo Grassi en route to Station / Piazzale Roma (follow the yellow arrows) you will cross a bridge where you'll find, at the left side, some Flags (Italian, European and Venetian) That mark 2 high schools that yes overlook the two sides of the channel. Take a break, let the bridge and turn at Left. 200 meters and you will find people with the glass leaning on the edge of the deck next. Spriz and snacks with a little money. In case, both the outward than the return , you will find the Ponte dei Pugni, where Venetians were challenged each other to punch , and the "Bar ai Pugni", facing you. Or, if you are penniless , from the initial kiosk go to the station (as always following the signs). You will find the bar of the Chinese near the University. But careful to the Aperol that they throw inside.
